I must have been a little "off my rocker" thinking I could actually repurpose this cute little "Grandma's knitting chair" by myself...can't you just imagine Grandma sitting in this chair knitting away? The nails were pretty crusty, and the fabric had seen better days. But, the wood frame was rock-solid (no pun intended!), so I purchased it for a song at a little thrift store in downtown LaConner, Washington, and away we went!
After much devoted love and attention, this is the final result! And it's A-DORABLE!!! I used a light gray snake-skin pattern fabric on the top/back and then a heavy-duty gray boucle-like fabric with silver threading throughout for the seat. New pewter nails replaced the old crusty ones surrounding the seat and back. And this little rocker now truly R-O-C-Ks!!!
